Ulyanovsk State University is a public, research university, located in Ulyanovsk, Russia

Teacher team of the Medical Faculty in Ulyanovsk State University consist of 40 doctors and 110 candidates of science, 5 scientists of the Faculty of elected members of the Academy of natural Sciences, 2 Professors have the title “Honored Worker of Higher School of the Russian Federation”,21 professors – were awarded “Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation” 8 professors  have the title “Honorary doctor of the Russian Federation”.

Currently there are 1490 students study in Ulyanovsk State University in the field of “Medicine” and “Pediatrics” in the 17 departments the Faculty of Medicine. The first graduation of 136 medical students took place in 1997. Total from 1997 to 2014 Medicine faculty released 2577 medical doctors. Admission in specialty “Pediatrics” launched in 2004. The first graduation of 20 doctors in this specialty was held in 2010, 2010 and 2014. 116 pediatricians were graduated. Over the lifetime of the Faculty of Medicine graduated 2692 specialists. The vast majority of young doctors working in our region.

The first international students were enrolled in USU undergraduate study programs in 1991, residency training programs – in 1999, post-graduate programs – in 2004. At the moment USU enrolls about 120 international students from 25 countries. Over the years, about 70 foreign citizens have been awarded USU diplomas. Since 2000, USU hosts an affiliate of National Russian Language Test Center, which administers tests to any foreign citizen willing to have official proof of their knowledge of Russian by obtaining an internationally recognized certificate.

Accommodation

Fully furnished international hostels are available for International students. Separate wings for Boys and Girls. Hostels are with self-kitchens, attached toilet/wash room centralized heating facility, Wi-Fi internet, Medical Centre, Gymnasium, Laundry, etc.
