INSTITUTE OF MATHEMATICS, PHYSICS, AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The institute is celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2020. the best graduates have become Doctors and Candidates in Sciences, working in their specialty in European countries, major Russian and foreign companies, and in schools in the region. At present, the Institute of Mathematics, Physics, and Information Technologies is:

• 15 areas of training at all levels of higher education (bachelor’s, specialist’s, master’s, postgraduate studies) that have successfully passed state accreditation, most of which are included in the top 10 various ratings of the most sought-after specialists both in the region, in the country and in the world, and not only now, but also in the future;

MEDICAL INSTITUTE

The Medical Institute is rightfully considered the largest educational unit of the university with a multidimensional clinical, pedagogical, and scientific potential, where more than four thousand people study, including foreign students from 57 countries of the world. The University does everything to ensure that our students can receive a high-quality professional education, successfully developing and implementing modern educational technologies. In the process of studying, students of the institute receive deep theoretical knowledge and practical skills that allow them to be competitive in the labor market and feel confident in the future.

Currently, the Medical Institute implements programs in the specialties of higher education “Medicine”, “Dentistry”, “Pediatrics” and secondary medical vocational education “Nursing”. The training is practice-oriented. For this, the TSU Medical Institute has a modern educational and laboratory base: specialized laboratories and classrooms, the Anatomical Museum, and the Medical Kunstkamera of the Educational Museum. An integral part of continuing medical education and practice-oriented training of students is the Accreditation and Simulation Center, which meets the most modern requirements.

PARTNERS 

TSU has cooperation agreements with hundreds of foreign universities, research centers and public organizations from over 30 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and America. More than half of them are co-operating under bilateral agreements. The number of contracts with foreign partners is constantly growing: in 2010 there were 27 agreements, in 2013 – 77, in 2015 – 95, in 2020 – 131. To date, there are 105 contracts with foreign partners from 16 countries.

Derzhavin University offers students an excellent opportunity for comprehensive physical development. TSU has a wide range of sports facilities, including large sports and recreation complexes, stadiums, fitness centers, gyms, and sports grounds.

All of them are conveniently located and accessible to every student!

They are the venues for major sports competitions, large-scale tournaments, and for many cultural events because the capacity of the TSU sports facilities is up to 4,000 thousand spectators!

Living conditions

All foreign students are provided with a place in one of the modern comfortable hostels. Furnished rooms are designed for 2-3 people. On each floor, there are specially equipped kitchens. In each hostel, there is a laundry room, a psychological support room, and a study room.
