Pacific National University

Pacific National University is one of the largest higher education institutions in the Far East of the Russian Federation and it is involved in the formation of a unified culture of educational space higher education of the Russian Federation.

SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION

The School of Engineering and Construction was organized by the merger of the Far East Highway Institute and the construction specialties of the Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering.

Today bachelor of construction specialties will be prepared within the general program for two years, and in the next two years, students can master any profile from among the current construction specialties: “Highways and airports”, “Industrial and civil construction”, “Urban Construction”, ”Construction Materials and Items”, “Gas Supply and Ventilation”, “ Water Supply and Discharge”.

SCHOOL OF AUTOMATION AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES

One of the promising directions in the field of economic policy is the creation of technology parks in different regions of the country in which the work must be done by professionals, possessing knowledge in the field of advanced information technology. One of the tasks of the School of Automation and Information Technology (SAIT) is to train professionals meeting these requirements.

SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT

Training of engineers and economists in Khabarovsk Polytechnic Institute was launched in 1966 at the School of National Economy. In 1969, it was renamed into School of Engineering and Economics. In 1993, the School of Engineering and Economics transformed into the School of Economics and Management, then to the Institute of Economics and Management. Since 2011 – it is once again the School of Economics and Management (SEM).

SEM – is the largest educational division of Pacific National University. It has about 2,000 students, including about 200 foreign ones. Applying to SEM, the applicant receives a fundamental economic education, an interesting student life, and has prospects of career and training opportunities abroad. SEM is internationally active in various forms: in the form of the educational process, in the framework of inter-institutional agreements on grants, and in the form of international conferences in Russia and other countries. SEM has extensive research connections with universities around the world: China, South Korea, Taiwan, USA.

SCHOOL OF LAW

Juridical education at PNU started its history in 1994. Since that time, the faculty has prepared several thousand graduates majoring in “Jurisprudence” in all forms of learning.

Nowadays, the School of Law – is one of the most promising schools at PNU, it meets the basic policy of the University – to provide a classic set of educational services. Legal training is carried out by faculty members in all specialties and majors of PNU.

E-LIBRARY

The PNU library offers users an impressive list of basic information and library educational resources.

The electronic catalog of the PNU library is organized as a set of databases (DB) for certain types of documents. Contains bibliographic records for all types of documents: monographs, research reports, dissertations, textbooks, teaching aids, curricula, workshops, dictionaries, encyclopedias, reference books, abstracts of conference reports, collections of articles, articles from periodicals of universal subjects received by the PNU library and etc.

Provides access to full-text resources (PNU teachers) and remote Internet resources. Information about publications appears in the electronic catalog at the time of the creation of a bibliographic record when a document is received by the library.

The Electronic Resources section offers a list of the main periodic, educational, methodological, and scientific and educational resources of remote access, both in Russian and in foreign languages. From any university computer connected to the Internet, a connection is organized in multi-user mode without limiting the number of simultaneous connections to the same resource.

DEPARTMENT OF YOUTH POLICY

The goal of the department is to manage the system of youth policy (the system of extracurricular and educational work) and coordinate the activities of all participants in the educational process and, as a result, create conditions for the active life of students, civic self-determination and self-realization, meeting the needs of students in intellectual, cultural and moral development.

The main tasks of the department:

• implementation of the state youth policy within the university;
• creation of an optimal cultural environment aimed at the development of moral and spiritual values in the conditions of modern life;
• meeting the needs of students in intellectual, cultural, moral, and physical development;
• organization and conduct of educational work, mass sports, and cultural and creative activities during extracurricular time;
• preservation and enhancement of the traditions of the university, promotion of its history, and the prestige of getting an education at the university;
• ensuring successful adaptation of first-year students to the conditions of educational activities;
• coordination of divisions and services of PNU in terms of their activities in carrying out social and educational work;
• interaction with the United Council of Students, the Trade Union Organization of Students, and other student public organizations and associations of PNU in solving social and educational issues.

CAMPUS

The PNU campus, founded in 1981, is designed to accommodate full-time and part-time students for the period of midterm exams and final certification.

All dormitories are brick, warm, equipped with equipped rooms for classes and leisure, gyms, there are showers, and laundry rooms.

Bed linen is changed every 7 days. In the hostel, it is allowed to additionally use your own bed linen, oversized furniture, and household appliances, except for heating appliances, in agreement with the head of the hostel.

Superior living rooms are equipped with additional furniture, equipment, and inventory.

Ensuring the safety of those living in dormitories is entrusted to a private security company (PSC). In each hostel, a private security company is on duty around the clock.

Dormitories are equipped with video surveillance and automatic fire alarm systems.

On the campus of the Main building works:

• student clinic. Here you can make an appointment with a general practitioner and get a referral to other specialists of the City Clinical Hospital No. 10.
• student therapeutic sanatorium “BEREZKA”. The sanatorium invites students to undergo a health-improving course of treatment and nutrition.
• dental office.

For students:

• “Sports and recreation complex” (str. Bondar, d. 6). A professional trainer will help you develop an exercise plan for different muscle groups.
• Swimming pool with 6 lanes. Water is purified without the use of chlorine, by ozonation.
