The A.I. Yevdokimov Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry (MSUMD) was and remains to one of leaders of the higher medical education, being one of the largest in the country and Europe the training and scientific and practical center, the leading higher education organization of Russia by dental and general medicine training of specialists. MSUMD has modern educational cases, clinics and laboratories based on which 11 faculties function, such as: dental, medical, economic, faculty of clinical psychology, penitentiary medicine, faculty of post-qualifying education, secondary professional education, faculty of pedagogical education at the higher medical school, faculty of pre-university preparation, and faculty of social work.

Pedagogical and personnel capacity of university is unique. At 114 departments the true professionals having exclusive pedagogical skill work: 24 academician and corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Science, more than 1500 PhD (medical sciences), professors, 66 honored doctors of the Russian Federation, winners of the State and international awards.

Educational process in the University is conducted at 114 departments, of which more than 80 belong to the Faculty of higher education, and the remainder to the Faculty of post-diploma education. Structuring training units is determined by the State educational standards, curriculum content, demand educational professional programs. The structure of the educational units of the University is constantly improving in order to optimize the educational process, the development of new, modern directions of medicine, ensuring the needs of practical public health services.

General Medicine faculty

Study duration: full-time course, 6 years

Annually the average number of full-time and part-time graduates is 700. There are 500 academic stuff, including 80 professors, 143 associate professors. The third part of the departments chiefs are heading by the academicians and RAMS academicians. Clinical departments are based on 25th largest and multiply-disciplined hospitals in Moscow, as Research Institute ambulance after Sklifosovski, A.V. Vishnevsky Institute of Surgery, Main clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defense, S.N. Fyodorov’s Eye Microsurgery complex, etc. From 2012 was launched the newest modern complex in Kuskovo.

Dental faculty

Study duration: full-time course, 5 years

Annually the average number of graduates is 600.

The training is held at the University clinics and at Moscow State hospitals and institutions. The clinical platform is fully equipped with cutting-edge medical devices and technicians laboratory.

MSUMD is the only one dental School who is the member of Association of dental education in Europe

Clinical psychology faculty

Study duration: full-time course, 5,5 years

Annually the average number of graduates is 30-40.

Curriculum of this course is accomplished by well-trained academic staff at the 21 departments of the University. The practice of the students is held at the university clinics (psychoneurological) and in Hospitals focused on psychiatric, neurology, narcology and somatic disorders, education institutions and social service.

Graduates work in medical institutions in psychoneurological, narcology institutions, consulting companies. Also they are eligible to have private practice.

Faculty of Economics

Study duration: full-time course, 4 years

Specialty «Economics and management at the company» (qualification «Bachelor»).

Curriculum of bachelor’s course includes 56 disciplines and it is important to stress that the program involves many aspects of Public Health. Students are trained by professional academic stuff at the 15 departments of different faculties. They have practice at the Ministry of Health care, insurance and pharmaceutical companies, tax office, Main Hospital of the Ministry of Defense

Social service faculty

Study duration: full-time course, 4 years

Specialty «Social Service» (qualification «Bachelor»), «Medical and social assistance with population». Curriculum of this course includes 64 disciplines in 17th departments of different faculties. During the study students acquire knowledges in the field of sociology, psychology, pedagogy, anthropology, gerontology, social ecology, conflict resolution service, theory and methods of social service, palliative care, law basics and social policy.
